Piano Tuning

You’ve made a large investment on your piano, now it’s time to take care of it.

A piano is mostly made up of wood, with a cast iron harp that must withstand hundreds of pounds of pressure. Changes in temperature and humidity, moving a piano, and the amount of times it is played all have an affect on the piano’s tune and stability.
Neglecting the tuning of your piano will cause the stings to slip and go out of concert pitch (A 440Hz) thus causing the strings to eventually go dead. It’s less expensive to have your piano tuned at proper increments than to have your piano need restoration work due to lack of tuning. Even if your piano is not played, it can lose it’s tune.
